To let people know KFC staff pick up litter on the streets in the neighbourhood after the restaurants are closed, they are trying to do their bit for the environment.

I created all the shapes in illustrator, then overlayed a cardboard texture on top of them to create a card cutout effect.

Dell- MTV European music awards sponsorship / competition

We had to come up with a competition idea for people to enter and win VIP tickets to the MTV European music awards in Berlin 2010. But the ideas needed to link back to the 'Sweets - wrapping' campaign that was running at the time:

So my thoughts were, sweets...treats....all wrapped up...you unwrap to reveal something exciting inside. I was also thinking about the music side of it, along the lines of 'Music - unplugged', then my next thought became:

The client wanted a big idea, so I went big. The next idea was to ask the great artists - Christo &#38; Jeanne-Claude who are famous for wrapping buildings with fabrics on a huge scale, to wrap the Berlin O2 centre where the awards ceremony was held.

Won't it be great to have this at the opening ceremony of the MTV awards? Imagine helicopters flying around to take the wrapped fabric off the O2 centre to reveal the building inside. MTV could adopt the 'Wrapping' theme for the night in conjunction with Dell. This could include wrapped menus, food, chairs and even acts - Bands could break out of giant parcels onstage. It would literally be:  'Music - Unwrapped'

The commercial would also feature the wrapped theme. Paper would be torn to reveal undiscovered new individuals and bands and eventually the O2 Centre. Viewers would be invited to send in videos of themselves interviewing new acts they have discovered. A winner would be selected from the entries, and the band would have a chance to put their video on the MTV site.

These would feature last year’s Dell - MTV competition 'Red carpet reporter' winner. She would be interviewing say, Coldplay. Then, she’d turn to camera and tell everyone about how she got there, what it did for her and why YOU should enter the competition.

Experiential Use a VW bus as a on the road recording studio. It’s German and has associations with music, touring bands and hippies. It can tour around Germany and invite new unsigned bands to have a chance to have their materials recorded.

Competition idea extended by using Social Media
Pass the parcel: It seemed a natural extension to use 'Pass the parcel' game as a way to get people involved online.

Set up a live 'Pass the Parcel' game on a social network site such as Facebook.You sign up yourself and a group of friends to the game, Dell sends the parcel and each person unwraps a layer and pass it on. 

There could be all sorts of treats and prizes embedded in different layers, such as Dell accessories, Free music CDs/downloads, spa, holidays, cash prizes etc. But the bigger the treats are the more people you need to circulates to for a chance to win. This encourages people to continuing playing it and pass it on.

The client loved this idea, but...they won't spend the money to build it. And guess what, 2 months later 'Virgin Blue' launched their 'Pass the parcel' online game, a very similar idea. A great opportunity missed!

The stars are die-cuts, as you pull out the insert card, the stars turn red, which represent the star rating system that is highly recognisable when purchasing online.

Website design for RAF Reserves: We created the website to overcome the perception that the Reserves are inferior to the Territorial Army, and to make it more of a resource for prospective soldiers. We used the duality of the civilian/military life as the structure of the site to highlight this. Scroll over a person and they change to their Reserves persona to tell you their bit about the Reserves.

Re-design of Anglo American website: It used to look very coprorate, cluttered with little imagery. The new design I came up with focus on one main image which represent a story of the moment, the result is much more cleaner and user-friendly.

		<description>During my 2 years working on Dell, I have worked on various digital projects, these include microsites,  landing pages, emails,  newsletters, flash/ interactive and static banners. Also online competition ideas for social networking sites. 

I have also done some print work for outdooor, events and magazines. My role consisted of coming up with concepts and designing to the final stage.

The Dell Lab - Dell New product microsite: The client wanted to showcase the new range of products that are launched throughout the year. The concept I came up with is to present them in a futuristic lab environment. The viewers can select from different product via the thumbnails at the bottom of each page, all the info tabs are supported by flash, when you click on them, they will open and close in a smooth movement.

Dell Fashion magazine spreads: I found this image through a high fashion photography site by a LA based photographer - Melissa Rodwell, I used it to show the clients they can use other images like edgy editorial high fashion photography other than just using product shots. They really bought into the idea, and ended up using the exact same shot. The models were holding handbags in the original image, we retouched them in with Dell Studio laptops.

This ad has featured in all the major female fashion magazines such as Grazia, Marie Claire, Stylist and Elle.
